Wednesday, February 10 is Concert Recording DayWe haven't had a concert, and we can't have in-person concerts. It has been a challenge determining how best to showcase your students' talents, but we finally have a solution. On Wednesday, February 10, 2021 students will be recording their first official concert of the year. This concert is to be our Valentine's/Family Day Present to you all. Concert UniformEvery student is expected to have;
The Wednesday ScheduleConsidering restrictions, we must record with appropriate spacing in the gymnasium, and the gymnasium is only available after school. Therefore we have made the following schedule for student recordings; 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM - Grade 7 Concert Band 4:15 PM to 4:30 PM - Grade 8 Concert Band 4:45 PM to 5:15 PM - The Woodshedders 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM - The Grade 9 and Senior Concert Bands 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM - Panorama It would be ideal to have a live concert in person where everyone is together at the same time, however this cannot be done this year. This is the most ideal option we have available, and so we ask that you make this schedule a priority. New: Supervision is available until 6:00 PM that evening, allowing almost all students to attend their session after waiting in the warmth and comfort of the school. If possible, we still request you vacate the school until your recording time to give our hard working custodial staff the space they need to fully disinfect the entire building, but we can still provide safe warm spaces if necessary. We ask that your students arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before their scheduled recording time, and leave the building immediately after their recording is done. So when is the concert?The concert will be shown on Facebook and YouTube on February 14, 2020 at 6:00 PM. You will be able to attend and watch it from wherever you are before, during, or after your Valentine's celebrations. It will also be aired a second time on Facebook and YouTube on February 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM for you to enjoy during your Family Day. Feel free to join us on Facebook or YouTube and comment along with us! As Always, Thank You For Your Support!Your students have been working incredibly hard on their music for you, and personally I can't wait to share it all with you!
